Fabric/Trim Sourcing

: 바이어가 원단 스와치 (swatch)나 trim (=hardware)를 벤더에게 발송하여 이와 유사한 것을 찾아달라고 요청하는 것

 

(1) 스와치를 직접 발송하여 요청하는 경우

: 바이어가 마켓에서 구입한 샘플을 잘라서 벤더에게 발송하고 sourcing 요청

 

예시)

Today, we are sending 3 swatches over we would like to be sourced for spring. We really love these qualities for spring, and would love to see options at design fair in June. Also, can you please help to continue to source that I sent the other day? We haven't really seen anything similar to this quality. Let us know if you have any questions! Please see tracking number below.

(2) 스와치를 발송하지 않는 경우

: 아래와 같이 가격대나 또는 원하는 H/F(hand feel), 혼용률 또는 중량대를 알려주고 wide하게 sourcing 요청

 

예시)

We would like to receive some newness in laces to use across tops and dresses that are in the $1.90 - $2.30 range. Please send updated patterns and techniques.

 

L/D (Lab Dip)

 

: Laboratory Dip 즉, 본 염색(bulk 작업 ; 대량으로 염색하는 것)에 들어가기 전에 스와치와 시료로 color를 내는 것. Solid 칼라 작업에 사용함.

 

L/D을 진행할 standard 칼라는 바이어가 스와치로 발송하는 경우도 있고, Pantone이나 Atlas 등 칼라 회사에서 바이어가 지정하는 경우도 있음

 

 

 

B/T (Beaker Test)

: 업체 내에서는 아직도 이 용어를 사용하는 경우가 있으며, 위 L/D과 동일한 뜻

 

L/D comment

: 아래와 comment를 반영하여 2nd, 3rd, 4th L/D을 진행해야 하며, 칼라가 괜찮을 경우 approved됨.

 

 

 

 

 

S/O (Strike-Off)

: 원단업체 전달된 A/W (Artwork)를 printed된 원단의 일부를 잘라서 Layout과 Color를 확인하는 것. Print 칼라를 잡는 것에 사용함.

위 L/D과 동일하게 1차 ~ 3차 진행하여 칼라를 수정함

 

예시) 왼쪽이 a/w의 일부분, 오른쪽이 print 원단을 자른 s/off.
